'An Exmouth Boatyard'
17/3/10 - An Exmouth Boatyard across the green. Bit of a grey day today, usual dog walkers, otherwise quiet. Off to the seafront, when the 'wee man' wakes up for a tour along on his trike. (Watercolour)
'Coast Path'
16/3/10 - Parked in the Otter Valley, near the Coast Path. Warm sunny day, with quite a few walkers going past. Once the 'little 'un' woke up, we too went for a walk on the east side of the river, heading up towards the sea. Lots of birds and low sun shiny on the estuary - very pleasant. (Pen & Ink)
'Wee Man'
15/3/10 - The 'Wee Man' asleep at Tesco's. I thought this was quite ambitious to try and fit into the time - had to work quickly. Not for sale.
Exit
15/3/10 - Most people had already left the RD&E hospital, except for those of us waiting for a prescription.
Exmouth
12/3/10 - Back at Exmouth beach (it's good for my soul). Looking across the estuary towards Dawlish Warren. The day was mixed, being sometimes overcast, then bright sun. Scudding clouds - warmer than it has been of late, but fewer people about. Had to wake the 'little 'un' up so that he didn't oversleep. (Watercolour)
Bystock Pools
11/3/10 - The peaceful tranquility of Bystock Pools (Nature Reserve on East Budliegh Common, Devon). Not many signs of life, just me peeping over the fence and the soft snoring from the backseat. (Pencil)
'Kite Surfers'
10/3/10 - Quick sketch of two kite surfers who arrived to take advantage of the wind.
'Folly'
10/3/10 - Parked overlooking Exmouth Estuary Beach (Devon), looking towards Powderham Castle and its Folly on top of the hill. Low tide with nice horizontals. Brisk wind blowing up the estuary, but bright sun, which also brought out a couple of kite surfers.
Scaff 2
8/3/10 - Sat sketching the lads working on the scaff today at Tesco's. Bright but cold day. (Pen & Ink)
Scaff 1
8/3/10 - Sat sketching the lads working on the scaff at Tesco's today.
'Admiring the view'
5/3/10 - Quick pen job. Time to wake up the 'little lad' so that he doesn't get to much sleep! (Sketching Pen)
'Flocking to the sea'
5/3/10 - Low tide at Exmouth (Devon), sun shimmering on the sea. Lots of people out & about, making the most of the sun (Watercolour + Pen & ink)
'Ebbing Tide'
4/3/10 - Ebbing tide at Budliegh Salterton looking across the Otter Estuary again. Bright day with a nippy wind, swans on the river and a huge flock of Gulls suddenly took wing. (Watercolour) - Sold
'Shed Sir?'
3/3/10 - Somewhat lacking in inspiration, sat in the Garden centre car park. Oh well, I suppose you have to take the rough with the smooth. (Broad sketching pen)
'Low Tide'
2/3/10 - Sketching at the east end of Exmouth beach (Devon) - bright spring like day. Lots of dog walkers, two canoeists, gulls and Oystercatchers. A very low tide today (full moon was two days ago). When the 'little fella' awoke we paddled, made sand castles and met a surprisingly friendly whippet. (Watercolour)
'Who are you looking at'
1/3/10 - Sat in 'Tesco's' car park, in front of a brick wall. What to draw...Ah yes that fello who looks at me from the mirror. (Pen, brush & ink) Not for Sale.
'Faggins'
27/2/10 - Sat in 'Faggins Reclamation & Antiques' car park. 'Tiny Man' not asleep for that long. So we are off to look at wardrobes. (Expensive as expected). (Pen, brush & ink)
'Otter Valley'
26/2/10 - Parked up in the Otter Valley (Devon) - bright day, but very windy. Several walkers and cars bowling along this little lane. Went for a short walk along by the river when the little lad woke up and we threw stones off the bridge into the river. (Pen & ink)
Misty wet day at the seaside
25/2 - A wet, foggy day at Budliegh Salterton (Devon), with rain pattering down on the car roof and car slowly steaming up. (Watercolour).
'On the Otter'
24/2 - Otter Estuary from Budliegh Salterton (Devon). Curlew, swans and Gulls. It was dry for my sketch, then we had rain driving in. The 'little fella' and I went for a short stroll up the valley. Just avoiding the worst of the rain. (Watercolour)
'Wet & windy'
23/2 - Riverside Valley Park (Exeter). A very wet and windy day outside the car, one brave dog walker went by. (Watercolour)
'Zone B'
22/2 - Cold, bleak day sat in the soulless, creativity sucking car park of Tesco's, waiting to do the shopping! My maxim 'of it not mattering what you draw, as long as you are drawing' is put to the test. I started two others before this, but lost momentum very quickly. (Pen & ink)
Exe Estuary 2
19/2 - View down the Exe again (Devon). Sun and squalls. Oystercatcher and Fishermen poking about looking for worms. Watercolour.
'car park'
17/2 - A more interesting car park in a garden centre! (Broad Sketching Pen).

17/2 - The tiny man asleep in his car seat. Sketching pen. - Not for sale
Teignmouth
16/2 - Parked up on Woodbury Common looking out towards Teignmouth (Devon). Sketched in biro - which I do like for sketching and is often handy. Blustery day - scudding clouds.
Exe Estuary

15/2 - Recommended by a friend this view and car park. Looking down the Exe Estuary at low tide, quiet day, not much about. Watercolour & Pen.
